Products
All products and services are final sale, including instruments, gift cards, and merch purchases.
Payment of Fees:
- We accept e-transfers, cash, credit cards, debit cards, and PayPal.
- A one-time registration fee of $50 applies to all new clients who order lessons or group classes.
- Single per-lesson payment is not accepted.
- All services are prepaid to book our staff's time in advance. Services cannot be delivered until payment is first received.
- Subscriptions: Payment for the next service cycle is due at least 1 week prior to the end of the current service cycle.
- We require two week's notice for client's wishing to end their services agreement with us. .
- 10-Lesson Bundle: Paid upfront and in full to receive the reduced rate. The bundled lessons must be completed within 12 weeks of the first lesson's start date.
Re-scheduling
Lessons can be rescheduled if 48 hour notice is given. A maximum of 1 make-up credit can be given to and redeemed by the student every 10 weeks.
You can re-schedule your lesson by emailing meteoroidbooking@gmail.com. Be sure to click "No" on the Google Calendar event invitation to cancel your attendance, and book a make-up time in the same week you missed your lesson.
Timeslot: If a timeslot no longer works for you, please notify your coach and we will be happy to accommodate your new schedule!Cancellation
In the rare case of an emergency or illness, a service can be re-scheduled if more than 48 hour notice is given. Notice must be provided to the institute administration by email.
In the case that the teacher gets sick or has an emergency, make-up time will be offered by our staff.
Cancelled Lessons:
- Missed Lessons: There are no credits nor refunds for ‘no-shows’. Therefore, there is no reduction in tuition balance and no make-up lesson offered if a lesson is missed or cancelled with less than 24-hour notice. Payments must still be made on schedule whether a lesson took place or not.
- Make-up lesson: As a customer courtesy, a student may be granted a maximum of one make-up lesson per term (every 4 months) if the lesson is cancelled with 24h notice. We understand emergencies happen and ask the student to give adequate notification as a courtesy to your coach and the lesson room that’s booked. Payments must still be made on schedule whether a lesson took place or not.
- Re-scheduling: A make-up lesson may be rescheduled at the discretion and availability of your coach. The make-up may only be rescheduled to another day within that same month if 24h notice was given.
Your coach may also reschedule one lesson per term, in which case a make-up lesson or credit toward future lessons will be given.
- Time off: If you are going away, please give your coach a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice so that we can accommodate you with the appropriate changes in scheduling, invoicing, and room booking.
We account for Canadian Statutory holidays - lessons are not scheduled during these times.
Pausing / Terminating
The arts are crucial to our children. It fosters academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. Involvement in music translates to gains in all areas such as, math, reading, cognitive ability and critical thinking.
If you break from lessons for more than three weeks, your time slot will be automatically released back to our booking system for another student to claim unless otherwise requested by the student.
Refunds
The arts are crucial to our generation. It fosters academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. Involvement in music translates to gains in all areas such as, math, reading, cognitive ability and critical thinking.
Withdrawal and Refunds:
Students wishing to discontinue lessons are asked to notify Jo Path Music 2 weeks before the date of stopping. However, this does not excuse payment. Lessons that have been prepaid and not redeemed will only be refundable with at least 4 weeks’ notice of cancellation. Lesson credit is non-transferable, and must be used within the term it was granted.
With a temporary pause, deposits can be held on file. For packages, deposits can only be used towards lessons as credit after the package term is up. For students signing back up, deposits are repaid if no deposit was held on file.
Non-compete Clause
We cannot take on students who registered through the CMA or BAH. If you registered through another school we must honor that contract. Teachers cannot take Meteoroid Music students privately as they have contracts with the Academy.
Liability
All students as well as parents and legal guardians of minor students waive the right to any legal action against the coach, the business Jo Path Music, Jo Path, and property of the location of the lessons, for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from activities conducted by any person on the studio property including but not limited to the student, parent, or coach before, during and after the lesson.
